It is claimed polygamy can not be found in the NT and this silence is confirmation that God changed His Laws on marriage.
Polygyny is found in the NT because the very LAW in which polygyny is embedded (Ex.21:10, Det.21:15, 25:5-10) is constantly used by the NT servants of God.
The Lord's
words in Matt.5:17-18 assure us the Law
and its high moral standards
has not been changed one iota.
And I gave you your master's house and your master's wives into your bosom, and gave you the house of Israel and of Judah. And if that was too little, I would have given to you such and such things besides. 2Sa 12:8
Here is a prophecy which post dates 1Tim3 and Paul's instruction for deacons and bishops.
Isaiah 4 looks to the Day when the Lord will have cleansed Zion having washed and purged away its filth by a fiery judgment.
Christians will be very surprised to read that polygyny remains after this cleansing. They have been taught polygyny is wicked, had been abolished by God and all polygynists were destined for hell. So much for Abraham, Gideon, King David and Solomon who had his heart turned away when he was old but loved by God.
Read this prophecy and
believe it friends.
Isa 4:1
And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, we will
eat our own bread and wear our own clothing; only let us be called by
your name, to take away our shame.
(They relieved him of his obligations recorded in Ex.21:10).
Isa 4:2
In that day shall the Branch of Jehovah be beautiful and glorious, and
the fruit of the earth excellent and comely for those who have escaped
from Israel.
Isa 4:3
And it shall be, he who is left in Zion, and he who remains in
Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even everyone who is written among the
living in Jerusalem;
Isa 4:4
when the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion,
and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from its midst by the
spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.
Isa 4:5
And Jehovah will create over all the site of Mount Zion, and on her
assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire
by night; for on all the glory shall be a defense.

Isa 4:6
And there
shall be a booth for a shade by day from the heat, and for a refuge, and
for a hiding place from storm and rain.
To sum up Isaiah 4 we
find that in THAT future DAY there exists;
One husband and 7 wives who proposed to him.
The Branch of Lord is with
them, beautiful and glorious.
Those left after the
purging, including the husband and 7 wives, are called holy by the Lord.
If our Lord calls a family
of one husband and 7 wives holy what should we call them?
This is in the FUTURE Kingdom of God on the earth, and we are told God banned polygyny in the NT?
No, not true, God did not change His mind or ban polygyny in the New Testament.
Polygyny is as holy today as it was when God first wrote Gen.2:24 by the
hand of Moses.
