The majority of
Christians and the wider community are blinded against polygyny by the
widely accepted catholic dogma which banned polygyny 600 years after the
New Testament era.
It was not our Lord who banned or condemned polygyny but rather a man
made religious system which also demands their priests abstain from
marriage. A rather curious position in the light of this passage and the
wider Bible position on male and female,
1 Tim.3:1-5, 11.
Christians, no matter what man made system they enjoin, who put tradition above the Word of God, will constantly experience conflict and ignorance regarding this valid Scriptural marriage option.
